I very rarely get the opportunity for any down-time… and that’s the way I like it, but at the same time (every now and again) it’s good to just take a moment to relax.
Last week, I was invited out to the Spanish family apartment of my best friend Alex Higginson for a few days of rest and relaxation. I decided to take my camera with me, just on the off chance, as Alex has also been learning some basic photography skills with me over the past year or so… and sure enough we managed to spend a couple of hours capturing some beach and pool images whilst we were away.
At the start of our break, we opted to get up early for a sunrise shoot, as this would provide the most suitable photographic lighting… and it would also mean that the beach was deserted! Unfortunately, as the darkness turned to light, thick clouds scuppered any beautiful sunrise shots, and this also made for a challenging environment in which to work.
Nevertheless, Alex did an amazing job behind the lens and with a little creativity we managed to capture some fantastic images… here is just a few edits from our early morning beach shoot.
